NICK: The City of Lee’s Summit, in collaboration with the state of Missouri, is hosting a drive-thru mass vaccination event on April 14 and April 15 at the Legacy Park Soccer Venue. The vaccination event will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on both days, with up to 2,200 doses of the Pfizer vaccine expected to be administered per day. See Link2LeesSumit.com for more details.

LIESL: A unique fundraiser for CritterHouse KC is giving donors a chance to get one-of-a-kind art pieces created just for their pets. With a donation of $15 or more to the local agency, a volunteer artist will create an original piece featuring the donor’s pet. Go to our web site for more details and links to participate.

NICK: The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District is reminding families of changes to it’s AMI days. All grades will have virtual learning on April 15 & 16. Middle and high school students will have in-person learning on Wednesday, April 14 and Wednesday, May 26. The changes were made to create scheduling opportunities for teacher COVID-19 vaccination events.

LIESL: The University of Central Missouri is partnering with Black Rocket online learning company to offer online computer science summer camps for children from age 8 to 14. One-week sessions are available June 7 through Aug. 6 with three-hour classes offered during either the morning or afternoon. See the full story and details at Link2LeesSummit.com.
