Lee’s Summit R-7 School District’s three high schools earned recognition as some of the best high schools in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Lee’s Summit High School, Lee’s Summit North High School and Lee’s Summit West High School rank in the top 40 high schools in Missouri and in the top 40% of high schools nationwide. Students’ scores on state-required tests, graduation rates and preparation for college are among the criteria.

In the state rankings, Lee’s Summit North is 33rd, Lee’s Summit West is 39th and Lee’s Summit High School is 40th.
