NICK: Here’s a quick look at some events and happenings for this week.

LIESL: Summit Christian Academy recently celebrated its 11th annual International Education Week. The event is part of SCA’s commitment to building a global community throughout the school.You can read more about this program on our web site.

NICK: St. Michael the Archangel students have found a variety of ways to give back to the community over the past several months – including a food drive, participating in the Mayor’s tree lighting ceremony and the school-wide 25 hours of giving program. You can read more on our web site.

LIESL: The most popular post on our web site this past week featured LSR7 educator Shawn Harrell and students from his Digital Media Technology class at Summit Technology Academy. Harrell and three students hosted Nick and I for last Wednesday’s episode of this podcast in their studio while a pair of other students handled all of the audio engineering and recording duties. The episode previewed Thursday’s Lee’s Summit Jazz Orchestra concert as well as the real-world opportunities these students have to build their skills and prepare for their post-high school world.
