Schools in the Lee's Summit R-7 School District will be closed this Wednesday to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory. The district will treat the day as a "snow day" and no virtual learning will be required. The announcement was made by Chiefs' Ju Ju Smith-Schuster via Twitter.
In addition, the 4th annual "Taste of Lee's Summit" charity event will take place on March 4 at The Pavilion at John Knox Village. The event, which benefits the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation, will feature live and silent auctions, special entertainment, and local restaurants.
The Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation will award over $60,000 in grants to six local non-profit organizations supporting healthcare in the community. The awards will be presented today.
Job seekers in the banking industry can meet with hiring managers at the Bank Teller Job Fair on March 30. The event will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Missouri Innovation Campus and offers opportunities for both job seekers and bank employers.
